The numbers
What 185/60R15 means
185/60R15 means a 185 mm section width, a sidewall 60% as tall as it is wide (about 111 mm), on a 15-inch wheel. The overall diameter works out to about 23.7 inches, which is what a replacement size has to match closely.
The two letters after the size on a tire (for example 102T) are its load index and speed rating. A replacement should meet or exceed the ones on your door sticker; our load and speed check reads them for you, and how to read a tire size explains the rest of the sidewall.
